"I'm not getting as much of a gain reduction as I wanted to, wondering if its the voltage divider in-between the to vca's? trying to change the simulation but its just taking to long to simulate to test and changes, if I change the voltage divider would it mess up the log scale? Ansome Common Wiggler Posts: 92 Joined: Wed Apr 02, 2014 9:32 am EXP / LOG converter? help with vca limiter I'm building a VCA limiter using the ssm2164, I have it working well in the feedback configuration but when I put it in feedforward configuration it seems like once the threshold gets to a certain point, instead of limiting the wave form it starts to turn it down more than limit, I have tried to attenuate the signal but seems to not be the issue as it raises the limiting point and makes more like a soft compression, I have a feeling its due to the CV control of the VCA needing to be logarithmic? I have had a look online but I cant find any solutions for converting exp / log, if that is even the issue. any help would be appreciated.
